Rajpal Yadav was sentenced to a 6-month jail term in the loan recovery case by Delhi, Karkardooma Court. However, soon after, the actor was granted bail and was fined Rs 11.20 crore.

The story goes back to to
2010 when Yadav and Radha had taken a loan from a Delhi-based entrepreneur, MG
Agarwal (owner of Murli Projects) for his Hindi directorial Ata Pata Laapata.
Agarwal filed a case against the couple in the High Court after they failed to
repay him the amount.

The loan amount is said to be to the tune of Rs 5 Cr. The Karkardooma Court had convicted the duo for failing to repay the loan.

In the same case, Rajpal had been summoned by the court
numerous times. He was also sent to 10 days of judicial custody in 2013. Yet,
Rajpal and Radha had allegedly not settled the loan amount.

starring Varun Dhawan.
